Followup-to: colugx at colug.net MEETING NOTICE ============== Central Ohio Linux Users Group Saturday, 28 February, 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM local Meeting Presentation ==================== Topics: An introduction to vi(m) (maybe an introduction to NUMA) Jess Balint will begin by introducing the veneravle vi editor, then highlighting the differences between standard vi and vim, and finally wrapping up with an in-depth examination of vim-specific tricks. emacs users eat your hearts out. ;) When the dust settles, Larry Shurr might introduce us to NUMA technology. NUMA (Non-Uniform Memory Access) is used in distributed and clustered computer environments. (We haven't received yea or nay from Larry yet, so the last hour may be an "ad hoc" presentation opportunity. Maybe we can take a page from the O'Reilly conferences and have a "Lightning Talks" session, where each person gets five minutes -- and _only_ five minutes -- to present something.)
