Position Title: Unix Systems Administrator
Reports to: Manager, Midrange Systems
Location: Home Office – New Albany, OH

Job Summary
This position is for a Unix Systems Administrator. Duties include
installing, configuring, upgrading, patching, securing and
troubleshooting UNIX systems hardware (servers, storage, SAN switches)
and software (AIX, Solaris, Linux). Responsible for providing system
support including hardware, OS, software applications and networking to
internal customers in a production environment. Work closely with
Application Developers and  Database Administrators to test, integrate
and troubleshoot applications. Provide a high level of customer
satisfaction through the effective delivery of technical support and
service. Take ownership of customer service requests and manage them to
closure using internal ticketing system. Provides problem isolation and
resolution, using system software and diagnostics and/or crash/dump
analysis. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as an
effective team member. This position requires 7x24 on-call duty rotation
with other members of the team.

Required Knowledge and Skills
* BS in Computer Science or related field
* 2+ years of experience in system administration on Solaris, AIX or
LINUX operating systems.
* Must have good written and verbal communication skills, and
interface directly with program development and management
* Can use performance analysis to tune systems.
* Proficient with fundamental networking/distributed computing
environment concepts (DNS,NFS,NIS)
* Ability to write scripts in some administrative language (Tk,
Perl, a shell).
* Ability to solve problems at both the OS and hardware level.
* Experience installing/configuring peripherals (ie. disks, modems
or printers).

Preferred Experience
* Veritas Netbackup, exposure to UDB and Oracle databases
