Position Summary: Lab based development and testing; development and
execution of automated performance test suites for high performance grid
computing/parallel file system environments


Job Duties/Responsibilities:

This is a hands-on test position that will be required to take a leadership
role in design, development and execution of automated performance test
systems for an enterprise class data path system.  Solid development
experience with Linux/Unix shell scripts and C/C++ is required. They will
perform lab-based solutions integration and development work including
setup, configuration, and maintenance of workstations, servers and lab
networks. Responsibilities include analysis and reporting of test results,
analysis of system logs and statistics, as well as isolation and resolution
of performance bottleneck problems.   

Requirements/Preferred Experience:

o       Must have 2-3 years experience in C/C++ programming and development
of automation scripts. 

o       Must be experienced in design, documentation and execution of
performance test tools and test suites. 

o       Experience in high performance grid & cluster computing environments

o       Must have familiarity with a broad range of performance testing
tools and must be expert in two or more of the following: SpecSFS, Bonnie,
IOZone, IOR, Meta Data testing

o       Familiarity with TCP & UDP network setup and configuration. 

o       Must have file system knowledge, including NFS & GFS or other
related/comparable experience.

o       Linux/Unix experience/knowledge

o       NAS or SAN storage experience/knowledge.

o       SQL database experience is a plus. 

o       Must be very organized and detail oriented.   

BS/MS - Engineering and Technology.
