Linux Administrator Needed Immediately for Long-term Opportunity

Linux Admin - preferred 5+ years experience
Linux Certifications (preferred)
  RHCE
  LPIC

1. Engineering Workstation (EWS) Support
  - Create and maintain Linux EWS images
  - Develop/maintain image distribution process (Norton Ghost or
kickstart)
  - Manage Linux EWS - answer helpdesk calls, troubleshoot user
issues, measure performance
  - Monitor EWS for actual and potential issues using Hobbit
  - Track EWS performance to optimize the Honda Linux environment
  - Manage RedHat Proxy server and the distribution of updates
  - Examine alternative Linux distributions (CentOS) to replace RedHat
if it makes sense

2. CAE Linux Servers, general ISD Linux Servers and Linux Admin
  - Install and configure Linux servers (includes Apache and cluster servers)
  - Monitor servers daily for actual and potential issues using Hobbit
and other tools
  - Contact and work with Vendor support teams to troubleshoot and fix
issues
  - Utilize scripting skills to automate processes and implement
changes

3. Monitoring Software - Hobbit
  - Maintain Hobbit servers and clients
  - Add and remove clients as required
  - Enhance our current system with more advance features

We want to expand beyond these capabilities to include:

1. Manage CAE Compute Servers (large Linux HPC clusters)
2. Support NIS and its replacement
3. Monitor and troubleshoot NFS performance issues
4. When possible, collaborate with Honda R&D ISD on new technology
research projects
  - Advanced visualization methods
  - High speed computation systems
  - High performance storage systems
