Summary of Duties

Member of the Communication Tech Web Development Team working with  
unit managers, departmental teams and/or customers in planning,  
producing, delivering, and managing college web sites; works  
independently to provide telephone and e-mail support and website  
consultation for internal college customers; produces web site  
documentation; performs HTML editing, and structural design; creates  
interactive web components (e.g.: database driven pages); provides  
solutions and corrective actions for web-related issues; and works  
with technology team to review and recommend new and emerging  
technologies.
	

Required Qualifications: 	Bachelor's degree in computer & information  
science or computer science or an equivalent combination of education  
and experience; extensive knowledge of web technologies such as HTML/ 
XHTML, PHP, MySQL, Flash, and CCS; and must be comfortable working in  
a Macintosh and PC environment.

Desired Qualifications:	Master's degree or an equivalent combination  
of education and experience; working knowledge of Python and PERL;  
experience with development of web sites using content management  
systems and tools, and computer graphics applications such as  
Photoshop; demonstrated experience in written communication and  
logical thinking.
