ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

*         Responsible for the analysis, design, needs assessment,
acquisition, development, installation, modification and support of assigned
functional area. 

*         Leads projects, as assigned, or participates on project teams. 

*         Develops and maintains IT standards and processes.

*         Responsible for the installation, integration, maintenance and
upgrades of computer hardware and software.

*         Follows security protocols to ensure systems integrity. 

*         Implements system enhancements that will improve the reliability
and performance of the system. 

*         Monitors system availability and capacity.

*         Understands and extends IT methods and applies them to projects/
problems of a highly complex scope.

*         Possesses comprehensive technical knowledge and organizational
skills to oversee complex projects with high visibility and high business
impact.

*         Viewed as a technology resource with broad knowledge of related
technology areas.

*         Demonstrates creative thinking and innovates complex solutions.

*         Provides technical vision for specific technology area and
participates in forming vision for other areas

*         Discusses and presents information to business management.

*         Able to negotiate and persuade other groups with diverse
perspectives to gain cooperation and achieve customer objectives.

*         Able to effectively work with vendors.

*        Acts as an authority, role model and/or mentor on technical and
team management issues.

*         Ensure effective communications-up, down and across the business.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

1) Knowledge, skills & abilities:

*            Has technical expertise regarding deployment and management of
highly available, fault  

      tolerant Linux/Unix/SAN environments.

*            Required Skills: Red Hat Enterprise Linux, HP UX, HP 9000
Ingerity Series Servers, HP  

      Proliant Series, IBM X-Series Servers, Oracle RAC, IBM WebSphere
Application Server, Cisco 

      networking devices, EMC DMX SAN.

*            Ability to lead, build, mentor, and develop team of
junior/senior IT professionals. 

*            Has significant project experience - overall project dollars in
the low million ranges.

*            Minimal travel expected
