2004-Current  		     2CheckOut.com, Inc.

Position:		     Systems Administrator

* Primary Linux systems administrator responsible for software updates, tuning, 
and maintenance on over 62 production and non-production servers.  High 
priority security updates completed within 72 hours.  Wrote and standardized 
the documentation for the SLA as well as the security incident response plan.  
Server roles include Shorewall (netfilter) firewalls, Web proxies (SQUID), Web 
servers (Apache: mod_perl, mod_ssl, mod_security, and PHP), e-Mail (QMAIL), 
DNS (BIND) and database servers (mySQL).  Production database servers 
implemented with dual master replication and heartbeat failover.  Primary Web 
servers clustered via LVS.  Department SLA of a quarterly 99.97% availability 
allowing only 43 minutes on unscheduled downtime.

* Orchestrated purchasing, the deployment plan, and established a new rack of 16
servers to provide the infrastructure for planned company projects.

* Coordinated a cross-departmental project between Product Development and IT, 
where a major mySQL database schema change was made supporting the production 
Apache/mod_perl Web application.  Managed timelines, the task list, as well as 
the technical deployment plan.

* Administrates the Liveprocessor application, which performs over 2,500 credit 
card transactions on a daily basis via PtP connections on Cisco 2610 with 
failover and dial backup.  Established the liveamx module and worked with 
American Express to perform payment processing directly.  Implemented hardware 
level redundancy with automatic failover minimizing impact of system failure.

* Worked closely with team during initial CISP audit.  Took control of 
Level 2 PCI goal, which maintaining scope of Level 1.

* Established the IDS solution including initial security measures with 
Inprotect frontend using a Nessus backup, with servers on three separate 
subnets automatically updating from a central solution.

* Coordinated weekly Change Control meetings, coordinating production changes 
with technical staff.

* Conducted weekly team meetings with the IT team.

* Managed approval process for production change control and access requests. 



2003-2004	   	Calltech Communications
            	        Columbus, OH
Position:	        Tier 3 Technical Support Representative

Provided internal technical support to tier 2 agents involving both network and 
desktop issues for a large ISP, specifically supporting DSL and related 
services.  Served as a mentor and took supervisor escalations, which focused on 
both retention and customer satisfaction from a technical and customer service 
standpoint.  Using Remedy's Action Request System as a frontend, managed network 
and desktop issues and edited the support ticket database as a part of the 
Ticket Management Group.  Numerous positive communications both from customers 
and co-workers.  Designed, authored and maintained an intranet Web site, which 
provided support and training documentation to the internal helpdesk.   Worked 
closely with trainers, quality assurance and management refining support 
policies and ensuring quality across the center.  Cooperated with the operations 
and maintenance centers working to resolve customers? connectivity issues.


2003-2004	   	Fraternal Order of Eagles
        		Grove City, OH
Position:	  	Systems Administrator (Contractor)

Assisted in the maintenance and administration of 50+ workstations (Windows XP) 
on the local Intranet.  Set up voicemail access to the local PBX via Microsoft 
Outlook.  Established and administrated the Linux (iptables) 
firewall/router/gateway serving the entire intranet, while also establishing 
access to the MSSQL database and IIS Web servers via NAT.  Enabled graphical 
reporting and monitoring of both the Intranet and Internet usage on the Linux 
gateway, which allowed establishing refined user policies based upon the types 
of Internet access most often used.


1998-2003		Optimal Health Organization

Position:	 	Network Administrator

Managed the local intranet, maintained all Windows (9x/XP/NT) workstations and 
UNIX (Linux/OpenBSD) servers (hardware/software), served as Webmaster of the OHO 
Web site and oversaw end-user support.


2001-2002		Cubesoft Communications

Position:       	UNIX Administrator

Administrated a network of four UNIX (Linux, OpenBSD and FreeBSD) servers
