[COLUG] Apache networking issues: diagnostic results

Going to bed. Must get up in 4.5 hours. Last thing for tonight.
Eliminated "Virtual Host" using the RH 9.0 "System Settings", "Server
Settings", "HTTP Server" tab and now, no matter what I seem to do, the
root of the site is pointing at the Apache Test page. If I select
http://64.233.222.67 , I get the Apache Test page but if I select
http://64.233.222.67/index.html all is well.

In the config editor mentioned above, you can see it is selecting the
/var/www/html/ as the root directory of the site and you can also see a
section for choosing the default documents and it has index.html
showing.

I even renamed the old /etc/httpd/config/httpd.config file and let it
build a fresh version. Still no go. Tried re-enabling Virtual Host as
"Default Host 0" with no reverse lookup and the stuff mentioned above.

This is a new wrinkle. Check the current httpd.config file on the
server to se if you are finding anything my tired eyes are not.

Off to bed.

Sean
