[COLUG] Wireless

This is really good news, in a way. I had a gold card in the 9300, as well.
Still was never able to make it play with WEP. So, I'm doing a baaaaad
thing somewhere. Redhat-config-network is broken on YD 3.0, so I really
have to do things manually. There is a patch available, but it does not fix
everything.

On the iBook my Airport card is not the extreme variety.

During boot it comes up correctly according to the log (static IP). It just
can't see the world. If I set up with DHCP, it fails during boot.

My AP is a D-Link DWL-900AP+ DHCP is off, and I'm serving IPs from the
gateway router. The Airport card works fine with DHCP under OS X.

I'll keep this note and send you my config files off the list if that's OK?

George
