Hi all -
I've got a firewire hard drive with an NTFS partition. The drive uses
the SBP2 DRiver and is mounted NTFS read only. I'm getting errors like
this in log/messages:
Jul 1 18:05:51 fatmouse kernel: NTFS-fs error (device sda3):
ntfs_end_buffer_async_read(): Buffer I/O error, logical block 6291519.
Jul 1 18:05:51 fatmouse kernel: NTFS-fs error (device sda3):
map_mft_record_page(): Failed with error code 5.
Jul 1 18:05:51 fatmouse kernel: NTFS-fs error (device sda3):
map_mft_record(): Failed with error code 5.
Jul 1 18:05:51 fatmouse kernel: NTFS-fs error (device sda3):
ntfs_read_locked_inode(): Failed with error code 5. Marking inode 0x1c
as bad.
Jul 1 18:05:51 fatmouse kernel: scsi0 (0:0): rejecting I/O to dead device
Is this a hardware failure or a corrupt filesystems? Any thoughts would
be great. Thanks.
~ Jess
