I did some playing with Knoppix on my laptop this evening. I resized
some partitions to make room for new /boot and /lib/modules partitions,
and copied the data over from my Fedora Core 2, SuSE 9.0, and Debian
Sarge installs. I added entries in fstab instructing each distro to
mount my new partitions. I also had to fix up the grub config file.
Fedora and Debian are working great with a vanilla 2.6.7 kernel I
built. Works great for me so far!

It's an old thread which was last active on June 09. I have not had the
time to try Josh's idea until recently.

Next I am planning to find out how well Fedora and Debian play together
when sharing /home.
