I don't use procmail; I use Gnus. I prefer it that way, because Gnus
is written in a language I understand, so if necessary I can consult
the source or even modify it. procmail, being written in a language I
don't know well or like, would be pretty much a black box to me.
I do use software that's written in C/C++, but only when AFAIK there's
not a realistic viable alternative written in a higher-level language.
