Ok I'd never ever ever recomend anyone get a sony product if you plan to
use anything (and I really really really mean anything) other then
what's shipped on it, which from a retail user is fine, however if you
run linux and have dma errors spewing into the syslog by the boat load
"I'm sorry sir but I can't take your word for it, and we don't accept
hardware problem errors from 3rd party software"...
So when I hung up we both agreed to disagree apart from the fact if I
can get hdd error messages to occur with the installation CD, which is
little consolation when I know a hdd is damaged and going to fail and
can't use it until I have proof it's failing from their own software...
