I bought this laptop just before all that came out, it wasn't such a big
deal for me at the time since I blew away the contents of the drive and
put linux on instead (root kit that sony!), but support on the other
hand is turning into a fiasco... The drive is dying but they won't do
anything till it really is dying... I'm to the point that my time is
worth more then a $100 drive and I'll just foot the bill and I'll never
recommend a sony product to anyone ever again... 

The problem stems from the fact that I'm used to dealing with
wholesalers and they take a little more care with their customers then
this... Utterly utterly disgusted...
