Apple. No, seriously.
The Intel Macs are fast, built well, and well supported (heck, Linus
has one). Suspend and hibernate are supported.
Shrink your OS X install down to 2GB or so, set it to boot to Linux
by default, and forget OS X is there. When your hardware fails, make an
appointment at an Apple Store, walk in, and reproduce it in OS X for an
Apple employee. Don't bring up the other partition, and they won't ask
about it (it's unsupported, but not condemned).
I was very happy with the level of service I got from Apple when I
had a problem with my MacBook (I walked out 15 minutes after my
appointment with a replacement 'Book).
