Again, thanks Travis.  Here's a basic question: is all of the Kerberos / 
SASL stuff needed if I just want to authenticate users on a website?  It 
seems like overkill to go through three layers of daemons and libraries 
(OpenLDAP -> SASL -> Kerberos) just to see if one SHA hash matches 
another (authenticate users)...
