[COLUG] Can't write to mounted SMB Shares

I've just switched to FC 5 because SuSe is going to the pipe.

Anyway, I am having all kinds of trouble being able to write to my SMB shares
that I have mounted.

I can't figure out 2 things:

How can I mount as regular user with Fedora?
and
How can I write to the shares mounted?

I know I will be able to write to them if "I" and not root mounts the shares,
but if it's not possible for me to mount them as user, the how can I get
write permissions as user with a root mount?

Here's a look at fstab:
//192.168.2.3/d /media/d  cifs
credentials=/home/david/.smbpasswd,uid=david,gid=david,rw 0 0
//192.168.2.3/e /media/e        cifs
credentials=/home/david/.smbpasswd,uid=david,gid=david,rw 0 0 c

I've tried everything I can think of, even changed the owner on d and e, but I
can only change the owner when the share is unmounted, but once I mount it,
it goes back to root.

Any suggestions on how I can make these 2 shares writable by me?

Thanks,
David M.
