Ummmm not entirely true, although most likely you will loose the proper
file names, I did a recovery the other day on a reiserfs partition,
while not 100% perfect, most information that was lost was recoverable.
reiserfsk -l /somewhere/recovery.log -S /dev/partition
you should dd a copy of the partition somewhere else as it can lead to
corruption of existing files...
