[COLUG] Gb ethernet up at only 100 Mb

Have you tried to manually specify the speed with either ethtool or by 
placing options in your ifcfg-eth? file.

ifcfg-eth? option:
ETHTOOL_OPTS="speed 1000 duplex full autoneg off"
