I second this. I'm running SuSE 10.2 x86_64 on an HP Pavilion dv8110 with 17"
widescreen capable of 1600x12000 and everything runs flawlessly. I have a
broadcom bcm4317 airforce one wireless nic and it was automatically detected.
It has 512MB of ram upgradeable to 2GB, 80GB hard drive and an AMD Turion64
and all Shortcut keys work Except 2 (DVD and Quicktime) but this is due to me
using a configuration that is close to my actual keyboard.
Good luck in your search. I have nothing but good things to say about HP.
