I teach and write mostly Python and a little C++ code these days for
Linux and OS X. Yes, Python can be used for CGI. I've only done a
little with Python CGI - I mostly write small to medium size desktop
apps with Python. I don't have any experience with hosting providers,
but the bottom of the following page has some links to companies
providing Python web hosting.
