If you are careful not to ground yourself, you can ditch the watch  
battery and use your own static charge. Wearing wool pants on my  
nylon upholstered office chair with Relative Humidity of 33% I can  
shift in my seat an inch or two and get the spark that I need.  On a  
humid day I may need to shift forward AND back.
