Excellent. Thanks for that!
Section 2.1.1 suggests that the maximum line length is 998 characters,
inclusive of any CRs and LFs. Section 2.2.3 explains folding _much_
more clearly, and states that folding is specifically a means to work
around the 998 character limit. Thanks, Pat!
In an ideal world, I would love to create a mail handling queue. I do
not have the time or inclination to re-create GNU Mailman, and even if I
could the specific application on which I am working precludes me from
controlling every environment in which this will be installed. To date,
the BCC mechanism has worked as needed, and the majority of users have
only a few dozen BCC recipients.
