There are about 3-4 current contract openings within Ross Products,
Abbott Laboratories in Columbus, OH. All contracts operate through
Manpower Associates, but can be directly referred by Ross/Abbott
Leadership. These are all entry level or 1-2 years experience with
the highest experienced candidates being placed appropriately. These

Job Description:
Maintains all aspects of infrastructure site support PC
hardware/software deployment and troubleshooting while safeguarding
assets. Troubleshoots and provides Tier 2/Tier 3 support for daily
issues and problems within PC, Voice, Data and Groupware messaging
environment. Applies advanced skills in Lotus Notes and Application
scripting when required. Tests new software versions and participates
in the definition of standard installation and upgrade methodologies
through the creation of automated installation scripts for the PC
platform. Maintains and protects a managed PC environment using a
combination of Altiris Client Management Suite products and in-house
utilities. Maintains software versions management controls. Implements
prototype systems to test new software and hardware. Assists project
teams with infrastructure activities related to PC hardware/software,
Voice, Data and Groupware Messaging. Applies installation quality
assurance tests to new hardware/software installs and reports
findings. Performs related duties as assigned or requested.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
and at least two, typically four or more years technical experience in
PC operating system software products and programming, or an
equivalent combination of education and work experience. Must have
technical experience in networking and relational data base software
products and demonstrate seasoned IT skills with Site Support and
competency in most aspects of software activities. Must have good
communication skills, judgment and analytical/problem solving skills,
and the ability to work effectively with client and IT management,
staff and vendors. Experience with Altiris Client Management Suite,
and SQL Server. Lotus Notes Client troubleshooting skills and or Lotus
Notes Administrator experiences a must. MCP, CompTIA A+, Network +
certification a major plus. Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma
methodology also a plus.
