[COLUG] Memtest86 causes reboot??

Memtest86 should only cause a reboot if you press escape. My first  
thought when I read about your 24 hour wait was capacitor discharging.  
You probably have a motherboard issue. Download UBCD and run a burn-in  
test. I like to use Mersenne Prime when I need to run a system for  
hours with a heavy CPU load.
