Ok, the plot thickens...

Upon a keyboard lockup, if I reseat DIMM A, the problem goes away 
momentarily.... but comes back.  We were able to run with DIMM B only for 
a while, but the problem eventually occurred again.  (Incidentally, the 
memtest86 did reboot with only DIMM B present.)

The exhaustive memory test in the built-in Dell diagnostics passed the 
machine with flying colors.  However, there must have been some seismic 
shift in the space-time continuum because the Indian Dell rep I spoke with 
actually ordered an RMA based upon what I said about the DIMMs, even 
though the hardware diagnostic passed OK...

We'll see what happens.
