[COLUG] Ubuntu Gutsy Anomoly

I've just noticed an anomaly with my recent install of Ubuntu 7.10
(Gutsy).

I have a shell script that launches the Python IDLE IDE in the Nautilus
scripts directory. Sometimes when I launch that script, Nautilus will
take up most of my CPU (80%+) until I kill the Nautilus process that
launched my script.  Other times, that process sleeps and uses no CPU,
which is what I think it should do.
