[COLUG] Portable Projectors for Linux

I'm  looking into purchasing a portable projector for use with my
notebook computer (Pressario V2000) for giving presentations.

I received two recommendations from PC Connection, however, their tech
support people say Linux isn't supported.  I had assumed that I could
plug the projector into the video port on my notebook and it didn't
matter, but I thought I'd run this past the group.

I'm looking for a low end projector and the two they recommended are:

InFocus IN24 ($649)

Viewsonic PJ402D-2 ($619)

Both use DLP technology.

Any comments on these or recommendations on under $1k projectors that
work well with Linux?  I plan on using Open Office Presentation under
Ubuntu 6.06.
