Actually, you might want to look into the 1-Wire things I mentioned in 
off-list e-mail.  They have several different types of 1-Wire interface 
"RealTime" clocks, including one on the TINI module.  They also used to 
have a hardware-based random number generator in the Java iButton but as I 
said that's been discontinued.
