Paul, you make me feel old, and I'm not that old!

I'm a 25 year old computer consultant. I have a pretty bad memory, but
I still remember that my first Linux install was August 17, 1997.
Since then, I've always had some kind of Linux machine. From then,
until 2003, I used Linux on my desktop. When I was in high school,
printing was still terrible, so I used vi to write papers in html to
print at school on the Windows machines.

Today, I use a Mac for all my personal work. I use Linux and FreeBSD
for servers since Mac OS sucks at threading and the server hardware
usually costs more than clients want to spend.

I've been away from the group for a few years. I think the last
meeting I attended was when I worked at Team America and kept the
place open for the meetings. I'll probably start going to them again
soon.

I have no distro loyalty, or OS loyalty for that matter. I'll use
whatever suits the task, but I'll always look for alternatives to
Windows.
