You could also run 'xev' from a console window to see which event your
right mouse button is sending. My mouse sends this event for a right click:
ButtonPress event, serial 26, synthetic NO, window 0x3e00001,
root 0x137, subw 0x0, time 386862057, (63,150), root:(1094,199),
state 0x0, button 3, same_screen YES
ButtonRelease event, serial 26, synthetic NO, window 0x3e00001,
root 0x137, subw 0x0, time 386862273, (63,150), root:(1094,199),
state 0x400, button 3, same_screen YES
A couple other suggestions:
- Check /etc/X11/xorg.conf to make sure nothing odd is set for
ZAxisMapping and friends.
- Try another mouse on the off chance this one is broken.
- Create another user to see if the problem is in your personal
settings somewhere.
Good Luck,
~Jim.
