I have a question about the locations are included in the 'top' part of
the places sidebar in Nautilus (Ubuntu Dapper).
I have found that I can add a location to the bottom part of the panel
by creating a bookmark to that location, but how does the system decide
which locations are in the top (above the line). The bookmarks there
seem to be un-removable.
I think this is related to the Places menu on the main Gnome desktop. It
looks like Nautilus bookmarks are added to the Places menu and the
non-removable items in Nautilus are the items that initially show up in
Places. I've installed Ubuntu on a few machines, and on some machines a
Documents folder shows up in the Places menu and on others, it doesn't
I'd like to add a 'permanent' bookmark. How do I edit those?
Thanks,
Mark
