[COLUG] Power Spec PC alert

I just bought a Power Spec pc from MicroCenter ($299 Intel based V100) 
and installed Kunbuntu Feisty 7.04 release version and found that Feisty 
detected the ethernet interface as a Realtek 8139 when Power Spec used a 
Realtek RTL8100C. This renders the ethernet useless. The RTL 8100 C is 
not supported by Ubuntu.

The solution was to install a Hawking ethernet card and disable the on 
board ethernet driver. Then reinstall Kubuntu.

Integrated Intel video works great. Sound works great. Kubuntu works 
GREAT!!!!
