RealTek supplies a driver. I googled about and found this:

When navigating Realtek's site, go to '10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet' and
then 'PCI.' Realtek has the driver available at:

www.realtek.com.tw/downloads

Some direct links:

ftp://202.65.194.211/cn/nic/r1000_v1.05.tgz
ftp://210.51.181.211/cn/nic/r1000_v1.05.tgz
ftp://209.216.61.149/cn/nic/r1000_v1.05.tgz

I downloaded and looked about. It creates a r1000 kernel module and appears
free of binary blobs and suchlike.
