# apt-cache search networkmanager|grep -i kde
knetworkmanager - KDE systray applet for controlling NetworkManager
network-manager-kde - KDE systray applet for controlling NetworkManager

seems network manager isn't a window manager specific app, but provides
hooks for window manager specific apps.
