[COLUG] Blacklisted

My server is still listed on a couple of blacklists and from time to
time I submit a request where possible to have it removed.

As best I can tell I have no idea why I was added to the lists I'm on, I
can't even get a reason from their own websites other then "misc" what
ever that means. So anyways I go looking for how to get off one list in
particular yesterday and came across this amusing post.

http://www.dnsbl.com/2007/10/fiveten-blacklist-not-accurate.html

Doing testing against that list in particular they had a higher false
positive rate 44% false positives, then picking up on actual spam 40%

The opinion of the person writing the article is that black list is
simply worst then doing something random like if you blocked all IPs
with a 7 in it, he ran some tests over that theory and he managed to
block 50% spam and had a 43% false positive, which is better then the
blacklist's :)
