[COLUG] squeak and the one laptop / child

Recently the One Laptop Per Child announced that
beginning 11/12 they would sell you one and give one for $400.00

I dug around some and found that one of the software packages it uses
is squeak.  I found a video of a demo on Google showing how a youngster
was able to build a presentation quickly with squeak.

So I downloaded and installed it on my Fedora 6 machine.
I tried a couple of tutorials and found them (or me) lacking.
I tried the tutorial on the squeak website that tries to show
one how to build a game and got lost

I got up to the spot where it wants to build a method
called testCellOnState

I also tried another simpler demo when one builds a car 
and animates it.  No luck there either.


Anyone tried squeak???
