They called and got my wife a month or so ago so I don't know whether  
they said bits or bytes, but it is bits. They already provided a free  
upgrade from the 5Mbit connections we used to have to 7Mbit fairly  
recently. I just got 6.7Mbps to Chicago using http:// 
www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/.

It is 15Mbits that they are now selling as their premium service.
