Of course, soon after you turn on the computer, everything will 
be cold. Keep checking the CPU heatsink. If the fan is not 
moving, I would expect it to get hot. 

What kind of CPU are you using? 
Please show us the output of the following command. 

   cat /proc/cpuinfo

Be sure to use copy and paste to show us the output.
