[COLUG] WINE with 32 bit Kubuntu Feisty

Quite by accident I discovered an important issue about using WINE to
run Windows programs under Linux.

I was trying to install Corel Draw and it would not get through the
installer for me. Remember, I had the same version of Corel Draw
installed on a Gateway 386 computer under Feisty, and could not get it
to install on the Acer AMD Turion in 32 bit Feisty.

I was playing around with installing IE and messing with WINE Tools and
winecfg. I had a lot of problems with wine tools, but did get IE6
installed, I think. I went to winecfg and just by accident, changed the
emulation to Windows 98. Corel Draw installed! It runs, too! Not sure
how well, yet, but I'll let you know what I find out.

Thinking about it a little, I guessed that emulation of Windows 98
caused Corel Draw to install differently than when I tried to use
Windows 2000 emulation. Instincts tell me I want the best I can get, so
I used Windows 2000 emulation, but I never considered what it did to the
target program install process.

Never saw this is the 100 hours or so of reading through other peoples
e-mails, so I thought I would post it here.

BTW, I used the "out of the box" WINE with Feisty. It's usually 2-3 revs
back from current.
