[COLUG] Verizon sync accounts, port 110 et. al.

Hello all!

I have a client that is running a FC6 machine with sendmail/dovecot mail 
services.

For security purposes, I have a firewall (firestarter) that restricts 
which IP addresses that can access port 110 (and 995).

Verizon wireless handhelds sync up with our mail server and I run into a 
problem in that their incoming IP addresses vary and I cannot get 
Verizon to provide me with ranges of IP addresses that they may use to 
connect to our server.

Has anyone else run into this problem?  (and if so, how did you solve 
the problem?)

Am I being too severe in my firewall rules restricting incoming 
connections to these ports?  Verizon claims that they don't have any 
problems connecting to other mail servers....
