Did you realize that you can download a CDROM ISO that will allow you to
change the passwords on most x86 operating systems (such as NT, XP, Vista,
as well as Linux and most x86 *ixes) within 3-5 minutes, depending on the
speed of the machine? I generally carry one around in my bag.

Personally, I avoid writing down *my* passwords and usernames. It's a poor
practice that leads to finding sticky notes attached to (a) margins of
screen space for monitor, (b) bottom of keyboard, (c) inside of drawer, (d)
some combination of above with username/password combinations.
Maybe we should be commending the user who doesn't write these things down?
