[COLUG] Laptop Recommendations

My neighbor is asking for laptop recommendations. She was thinking of 
getting another Dell, but I told her to consider Toshiba. I then had 
second thoughts, as I do not know much about their service, or parts 
availability. I am not real big on Dell, but can get Dell parts a lot 
easier than the average Joe.

I am in a middle of a project, and do not have a lot of time to peruse 
the Toshiba options. Most of what I saw came w/Vista. I would prefer to 
find something new that has XP on it as opposed to Vista. Not big on XP 
either, but it looks good compared to Vista. This person is extremely 
technology challenged even though she has several Masters Degrees. That 
is why Linux would not be a good mix for her regardless of Ubuntu. She 
has a lot of business applications that are Windoze based, and is stuck 
in that world.
