How do I determine how fast a connection I am getting when I am using my 
Netgear MA401 RA 8011.b card? The KWiFiManager briefly reports a 
connection speed of 2 MBit/s and mostly 11 MBit/s. It even reports 11 
MBit/s when I have no connection at all. Signal strength is reported 
from 15 to 36. The signal strength varies rapidly even though the laptop 
is in a static position.

I was trying out my neighbors wireless Internet service. He has their 
premium service, but 11 MBit/s seems optimistic. I must say that 
everything downloaded very quickly.
