Congratulations. I noticed that Tom Cranston had some interesting

If only the connector is broken, i.e., if the motherboard PCB 
is not damaged, then it's fixable. How feasible is another 
matter. Getting the right replacement part is tougher than 
for the power connector. As you understand the soldering 
requires considerably more skill than for the mundane power 
connector. I'll just have to take a look to see if I want to 
take on this problem. Others can look also if you post to the 
list a URL for a HIGH resoluton picture of the broken stuff.
