If you make outgoing calls from Gizmo, you are indeed saddled with
restrictions and potential fees.

If you use GrandCentral's "Click2Call" service, your Gizmo account
accepts an incoming call at no charge.

Grand Central calls your Gizmo number, then Grand Central calls the
other party, and bridges the call.  No cost to you.
