FYI, the website for signing up for these coupons is already up
and running:

https://www.dtv2009.gov/

You can order up to two coupons if you certify you don't have cable
or satellite delivered to your house.  However, the coupons are only
good for 90 days and I've yet to see any of these boxes in the stores.
I wonder (1) whether the better equipped boxes (for instance, those
with remote controls) will be available initially, and (2) whether
the first boxes will be competitively priced.  OTOH, waiting to sign
up is not without risk, because there are only a limited number of
coupons available.  However, OT3H, I suppose there are far more
important things for me to worry about right now than $80 worth of
rebates.
