[COLUG] OpenOffice 2.4 Instability??

Howdy Folks,

Has anyone upgraded to OpenOffice 2.4 (or, 2.4.1) on RHEL or CentOS 5.2?

It seems like it's far more crash-happy, especially when handling 
Microsoft Word documents.  For instance, last night I had an 8 page 
document I wanted to send to someone else.  I first saved in ODF for an 
"archival" copy, then saved in Word97 format.

I wanted to change the document, so I tried opening the Word97 format 
file.  OO got into a loop where it crashed; then, when I restart and 
select "Recover Document", it would crash again... ad infinitum.  If I 
broke out of the cycle and worked on the ODF document, it was fine.

Is this happening to anyone else?
