AT&T in Columbus is the old SBCOhio network. They're as good and as bad
as any other regional telco. They all pretty much use the same
technologies and equipment. I can give you a decade worth of problems
I've had with SBC in Ohio, but none of it probably has anything to do
with their ability to deliver U-verse service in Columbus in 2008.

I'm not sure how their services is delivered within the premise (It goes
to a box that is served from the copper pairs into the house from the
street), but each TV needs a decoding set-top box - They purely do
digital delivery.

I always had good success with Wide Open West, but they may not operate
in your region. You can always get satellite too.
