Hi Jeff,
cbosgd was more a local phenomenon.  Its only external notariety was
the fact that many people had accounts and posted from it (including
"cbosgd!res").  I think more people here might be familiar with ihnp4.

Would you be talking about Mark Horton above, the originator of
B-News, the original Netnews distribution package?  I understand she
is now known as Mary Ann Horton and living in California.

And, alas, this past Monday, based on an agreement with the NY State
Atty General, Time Warner (which includes Insight here) decided to
get out of the Netnews business and turned off their Netnews servers,
marking, me thinks, the beginning of the end of another era...
